SMALL TALK is a small-group workshop designed specifically for children with high functioning autism/Aspergers (or other mild behavioral delays) to teach them behavioral and social skills to deal with and participate in a variety of social settings. This program, designed by a team of licensed speech pathologists, will meet twice weekly for three weeks. Children will be taught and will participate in activities ranging from simple conversation to meeting new friends and conflict resolution. An optional field trip will be offered at the end of the course giving each child an opportunity to apply many of the skills covered in this course.

BOOK BUDDIES is a small-group workshop designed specifically for children with mild to moderate speech-language delays, displaying delays in reading aptitude or interest to promote language learning and sound awareness through reading. This program, developed by a team of licensed speech pathologists, will meet twice weekly for three weeks. BOOK BUDDIES has been designed for FUN to ignite or fuel a passion for reading and language expansion. Through theme-based book units, such as The Hungry Caterpillar, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, If you Give a Mouse a Cookie, etc., the children will be learning by reading and participating in hands-on activities to support their lessons. Each child will have the opportunity to create a take-home project for each unit to help with expansion of their language experience in other settings.

Kula Kids is a small-group workshop designed specifically for rising 2nd - 4th graders with strength / motor planning difficulties. An emphasis will be placed on teaching basic yoga poses, movements and breathing techniques to strengthen and improve agility among the children. Kula Kids was developed by a licensed Occupational Therapist and will include 4 one-hour sessions in a 4-week period.
