Alexia Galakatos, M.A., CCC-SLP
Certified Speech-Language Pathologist

Alexia is the principle owner of Tega Cay Speaks.  In addition to her role as the clinical director, she maintains a small case-load as special needs arise.

Alexia received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Emerson University in 1993 and a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Saint Louis University in 1995, gaining specialized training and experience with the special needs, birth to three population.

Alexia specializes in children with particularly difficult developmental and behavioral disorders, included but not limited to autism and ADHD.

Before moving to the Carolinas from Los Angeles, California, Alexia was primary owner and operator of an SLP practice serving the greater Los Angeles community, contracting with the L.A., Burbank, and Pasadena unified school districts (USD).  She served on the pre-school evaluation team for Pasadena USD, where she realized her desire to work with the birth to three population.

In addition to her work with Tega Cay Speaks, Alexia is currently working toward the development of a speech-language center in Ethiopia to serve the children with specific developmental delays and disorders.
